Haiti Carnaval 2007, Listen To Haiti Kanaval 2007

Haiti Carnaval 2007Did you know you can listen to All the Haiti Carnaval 2007 online?

While updating Carl's Corner I bumped into a link for Carnaval 2007

Carl says: "please visit www.carnavalhaiti.org  courtesy Haitian Consulate, Miami."

This site appears to be the official carnival site for Haitian Carnaval, an annual celebration, the official rendez-vous of all Haitians all over the world.

Want to see pictures? check out the Belpoz Haiti Carnaval 2007 photo album.

I took a quick look at the site and I have good news.

You can listen to all the Karnaval Meringues on line.

Go check it out: www.CarnavalHaiti.org

On a personal note:  aside from the Haitian embassy website in Washington DC - [ http://www.haiti.org ], other Haitian Government sites seem to crash along with the government or "Ministre" or "Directeur Generale" who came up with the idea.

This is a good idea... Keep it...

Mark says: a state within a state

I don't think not having an airport or seaport in different areas of the country is why Haiti is underdeveloped.

But I would like it if we had at least two major function international airports in different major cities in the country.

You're right Port-au-Prince cannot be the center of everything.

The country needs to be decentralized.

It would be a good thing if every department had its own departmental government focusing on the needs and the development of that specific department.

But this will take time, money, and a lot planning.

Some laws would have to be created or changed to promote this kind of change.

The country needs a lot of help and money to accomplish these things but money is limited.

One way to come up with the money to finance projects in Haiti would be; to create some sort of investment board where the diaspora could lend its money to the organization for invests in Haiti.

That organization could finance roads, hospitals, schools.

ect. But the government would have to cooperate and help this organization to get things done.

Now the question is would anyone trust this organization with their money, a lot of Haitians have been cheated by haitian businesses.

Nevertheless this would be a great way to change the country on a mass scale.
